Welcome to the SA Congregation
The "SA Gemeente" (SA Congregation) is an inter-denominational Christian congregation of mostly South Africans resident in the United Kingdom. Although our confessional basis is reformed, we welcome people from all denominations and all nationalities.
Profile of the congregation
Most of the members are Afrikaans-speaking South Africans, and hence services are conducted in Afrikaans, although live English translation is available at many of the services.
Many members have taken advantage of the two-year Working-Holiday Visa available to citizens of Commonwealth countries aged between 17 and 28. Other have taken more permanent work and are here for longer, including a number who have immigrated to the United Kingdom. There are a growing number of South Africans moving to the UK on Highly Skilled visas.
A growing number of the members who have been living in the UK for some time are now raising children here. As a result of the demographics of the church we have a strong developed family, children and youth ministry.
While the congregation is largely based in London, we have members as far a field as Edinburgh in Scotland and Harrogate in Yorkshire to the north, Ormesby on the Norfolk Broads, Salisbury in Wiltshire, Bournemouth in Dorset, Bristol, Birmingham and Ireland.

The congregation’s affairs are administered by the Central Church Council according to the church regulations of the Dutch Reformed Church of Southern Africa.
The congregation is registered as a charity in the UK.
