Welcome
The "SA Gemeente" (SA Congregation) is a reformed church of mostly South Africans resident in the United Kingdom. Our confessional basis is the three Reformed Ecumenical Articles. People from different denominations and nationalities are welcome and form part of our church.
The SA Congregation is not an independent church but is part of the General Synod of the Dutch Reformed Church in South Africa. We have close ties with different churches in South Africa.
In the UK we are a participating member of the Evangelical Alliance.
Profile of the congregation
Most of the members are Afrikaans-speaking South Africans, and hence services are conducted in Afrikaans, although live English translation is available at many of the services.
A growing number of the members who have been living in the UK for some time are now raising children here. As a result of the demographics of the church we have a strong developed family, children and youth ministry.
While the congregation is largely based in and around London, we have members as far a field as Edinburgh in Scotland and Harrogate in Yorkshire to the north, Ormesby on the Norfolk Broads, Salisbury in Wiltshire, Bournemouth in Dorset, Bristol and Birmingham.
